Who is Trash Can Tim?

He’s part entertainer. He’s part Educator. He’s 100% for students learning some simple things they can do to make a big positive impact on our environment, including reducing waste, reusing things, recycling garbage and keeping our environment free of litter. He’s also a character your students will remember – guaranteed!

The Trash Can Tim Show: is a 45 minute elementary educational assembly that is packed with magic, comedy and audience participation, all structured to teach students about the pollution, the Earth and what they can do to save the environment. When these lessons are blended with madcap wackiness, a kooky “homework assignment,” and tons of audience involvement, you end up with a recycling and environmental assembly that’s great for Earth Month, Earth Day and ANY Day! It’s a show they’ll all  be talking about for a long time to come!

What percentage of people recycle?

Kids don’t care! There are ZERO statistics in this show. They can’t relate to abstract numbers. For students to really care, they have to be engaged. The Trash Can Tim Show does that… in an unforgettable way. The better question to ask is what percentage of students will remember these lessons. The answer would be all of them!

It took a long time for our environment to get all messed up with today’s pollution levels. That’s not something we can fix overnight. To get the Earth healthy again is going to take time. Anything worthwhile does. That’s why we need to start doing our part today! Students will learn how baby steps they can take every day add up and over time make a BIG difference.

Of course Earth Month and Earth Day are great times for this assembly. However, there’s no reason to limit these important environmental messages to just a few days or a month out of the year.
